IONSIS: The product of a journey that began in 2001 Founded in the UK in 2001, natural stone company Ionic Stone has grown over the years, investing in Türkiye's natural stone and machinery industries, and has most recently crowned this journey with a move into the software sector. IONSIS was born out of a real need, arising from the challenges the group faced in managing its own companies. During the digitalisation of the UK company, the software already on the market was either unable to meet its needs or far too expensive, and this led to the creation of the IONSIS project. A software team was assembled, and the industry experience gained over the years was built into the software. The main goal was to develop software that is simple, user-friendly and accessible to everyone. The first versions achieved this goal within a few years, bringing together hands-on field experience and expertise gained in software development. With investments in natural stone and high-tech machinery manufacturing in Türkiye as well, the company established an R&D centre at Pamukkale University to support the digital transformation of both its own group companies and other industrial businesses. It was at this centre that a version of IONSIS designed to comply with Turkish regulations was brought to life. The production, procurement, sales and e-commerce modules were re-developed drawing on many years of accumulated experience. Redesigned with today's cloud technologies, we believe IONSIS will make a significant contribution to Türkiye's digitalisation journey.
